Welcome to One-man Newsroom, a blog by Sharif Khaim Ahmed—an independent journalist, visual storyteller, and relentless seeker of truth.

Currently, One-Man Newsroom is in its trial stage, but exclusive original content will soon begin appearing here. This space will be a hub for influential journalism and creative storytelling, from in-depth investigations to compelling visual narratives.

With over two decades in journalism, Khiam’s journey began as a teenage reporter with a passion for text and photography. Today, he is a voice in multimedia journalism and documentary filmmaking, shedding light on stories that demand to be told.

His investigative work on human rights, political corruption, cross-border conflicts, and the plight of stateless Rohingya refugees has garnered international recognition.

Honored with the Edward R. Murrow Award (2021) and the Telly Award (2023)—and a finalist at the New York Festivals TV & Film Awards (2021)—Khiam continues to push the boundaries of impactful storytelling.

Now, stepping into freelance journalism, Sharif embraces new creative challenges. As a cinematographer, writer, poet, and musician, his artistic range fuels his mission: to amplify unheard voices and uncover hidden truths.

Stay tuned—the best is yet to come.
